Google Analytics (GA4)
In production we use the free Google Analytics 4 to measure anonymous visits, page paths, and outbound link clicks so we can understand how the site is used. We do not enable Google Signals, ads personalization, remarketing, or User-ID, and we never send email addresses, names, or personal data to Google Analytics. You can opt out any time using “Analytics opt-out” in the footer; after opting out, no Google script is loaded.
Cookies and local storage
We use a little browser storage to remember your language choice and your analytics opt-out. Google Analytics may also set its own cookies.
YouTube videos
Videos use a click-to-load, privacy-enhanced embed (youtube-nocookie). YouTube is not loaded until you press play. Once playback starts, the official player may show YouTube branding, titles, ads, and related videos.
Substack signup
Subscriptions use Substack’s official embed. The form is a cross-origin iframe, so this site cannot confirm a successful subscription; confirmed subscribers are a Substack metric. You can unsubscribe any time via Substack.
Attribution limits
This site can only measure anonymous visits, page paths, and outbound Airbnb clicks. Airbnb favorites, bookings, and completed stays are visible only as aggregate Airbnb Insights and cannot be tied to a website visitor. Click or intent events are not confirmed conversions.
